Rusty and all of you at Brewer, Thank you so much for all your talent, experience and care. Our new bookcases are a wonderful step in making our new house our home. Working with all of you was an absolute pleasure. I don't know how you fit it all in before Christmas, but we are so glad you did.
Again, thank you. Anne & Ed

Dear Rusty,
A million thanks for the oak wall sconce! I never knew it could look so impressive. My father snatched it from the last train run back in 1956 or 1957. Now that it is hanging on my wall, I can think of Dad each time I look at it and think of the days on the trains. You did a terrific job!
Thank you, Ray & Kathy
To Rusty & Bill,
Many thanks for making one more of my ideas a reality!! You guys are a big help, Bette
Mike,
I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation to you and the folks at MR Brewer for all of your help solving the leaks with my home. You guys are the best!

Dear Dick,
You have just completed a particularly awkward remodeling job in adding a large dormer and finishing about half the attic of my home as well as the stair up to the attic. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to you and the crew at M.R. Brewer. You did everything in your power to make the job go as easily as possible and you have met our deadlines.Your crew worked long hours for several days in a row to get things closed in before bad weather could cause damage, or to meet a critical deadline. Your millwork arrived on time, was well done and was installed with excellent workmanship. The crew was highly skilled in their trades and gentlemen to have around. Everyone was cooperative and tactful in putting up with questions and suggestions from a client who wanted to be an integral part of the project. Your sub-contractors were just the same. They appeared when you asked them to and they performed their work with skill and diligence. In particular I would like to stress your sense of responsibility and conscientiousness. I have found these traits to be rare with building contractors. You and I have worked together on a number of jobs in the past, and it was specifically for theses qualities that I chose to work with you again in my own home. We are most pleased with the result, and I look forward to an opportunity to work with you again in the near future, either for us personally or for a client.
Sincerely, Robert H. Weatherill, AIA President
Dear Mr. Brewer,
Just a note of thanks for literally sending the troops to save the day. It was a pleasure to be treated so kindly and efficiently!
Thank you, Brigid Di donna
Dear M.R. Brewer,
Please accept our sincere appreciation for your sponsorship of our ASA softball team. Because of your generosity, thirteen young ladies were able to experience the best softball Maine can offer. Our girls were some of the best players in Greater Portland. Given the fact that we had all stars from five different Little Leagues, in the short time of one month, the girls not only became a great team, they also became great friends. This has been a most positive experience for players, coaches, and parents. To receive support for these kids is most appreciated. Without folks like you it just does not happen. I know I speak for all involved when I thank you for your support. I truly believe this year’s experience has spurred these girls to love softball more than they knew.
Sincerely,
Chris Gratto
Dear Rusty, Bill, Merv, Mike, Jeff, Gary, and anyone else who was involved,
It has been a pleasure working with all of you, and we truly love our “new” old house. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have chosen you as our contractors! Thank you!
Sincerely, Mark and Eileen Long
Dear Rusty & the Gang, We want to thank you very much for our beautiful kitchen. It is so fun to cook in Gus has done most of the cooking so far, and I love that! The crew that worked for us was great to have around and highly skilled. To us, the company has the best philosophy when everyone says, “Make sure everything is perfect. We want you to be perfectly happy and satisfied.” No one can beat that! We both want you to know how much we appreciated the beautiful flowers. They easily lasted two weeks and we now have a cobalt vase (which matches our new stove) to fill again and use forever. Thank you again for everything! -Gus & Carol
Dear Rusty and Jeff, Thank you very much for the recent enhancements you made to our new home. As always, the quality of the work was excellent and it’s a pleasure working with you and your crew!
Sincerely, Elaine
P.S. Rusty- On a more personal note, I’ve found as a parent- now of four teenagers- that “ground-breaking” with new phases is always challenging. I’ve enjoyed and truly appreciated the wisdom of your experiences and family values you have shared with me- and look forward to any other “helpful hints” you may have. You and your wife have a lot to be proud of both in what you have built professionally and as a family.
Rusty,
Thanks for a lovely job done in my kitchen. The ceiling and crown molding really give it a finished look. Thank you for your fine carpenters and professional staff.
Mary Casale
Dear Rusty,
Just wanted to send you a note to let you know how much we love our new kitchen! And, Especially to tell you what a great job you and ron and the rest of the crew did. I felt certain that you would provide great quality, but I never imagined that the work would be finished early and under budget.
Everyone who has seen the kitchen and heard about how good it is to work with M.R. Brewer is quite impressed. I’m sure you have many, many happy customers but, if you ever want a reference or to take a picture, just call. We’d be more than happy to tell others about our experience.
Thanks for everything.
Sincerely, Mary Pasmore
Dear Rusty,
We would personally like to thank you again for your generous donation of hardwood to the Woodworking and Carpentry programs. In addition to providing additional opportunities for students to work with different species of wood, it will also enable students to attain some of the goals of the Learning Results initiated by the Portland Public Schools. In conjunction with the transferable skills they have learned in working with softwoods, they will also have to become knowledgeable and versatile in their thinking when working with the different characteristics of hardwood. This also enables us to emphasize the attributes of being a Quality Producer. PATHS would also like to recognize M.R. Brewer Fine Woodworking for their continued support of education in our community. Our students have been impressed by the generosity of this donation. Partnerships with local businesses always create a positive experience for our students.
Sincerely,
Sanford Peabody (Woodworking)
& Nelson Smith (Carpentry)
